Over the course of three intensive days, the

V SYMPOSIUM ON EXPLORATION & PRODUCTION OF UNCONVENTIONAL RESOURCES

organized by SPE Argentina and SPE Patagonia, was held in the city of Neuquén.

The V Symposium on Exploration and Production of Unconventional Resources, a leading technical forum for the industry in the region, came to a successful close.

Under the theme “From Knowledge to Efficiency,” the event took place from April 22 to 24 at the Domuyo Convention Center in Neuquén.

Over three intensive days, dozens of experts, scientists, and industry leaders came together to exchange cutting-edge knowledge and define the roadmap for unconventional resources in the country.

The symposium program focused on strategic pillars for industry competitiveness:

🔹 Operational Efficiency: Process optimization across the value chain.
🔹 Technological Innovation: Application of new tools to maximize productivity.
🔹 Sustainability: Discussions on responsible development and the energy transition.
🔹 Geological Comparisons: Technical comparative analysis across different formations.

The closing session featured a keynote address by Horacio Marín, President of YPF, who provided an update on the “4×4 Plan.” His presentation highlighted the world-class potential of our resources and the importance of efficiency in attracting large-scale investment.

On behalf of SPE Argentina, we extend our deepest gratitude to the speakers, for elevating the academic level with their research; to the attendees, whose commitment strengthens our technical community; and to the institutions and companies that supported this event.

We remain committed to advancing technical development and professional excellence in the energy industry.
